ThrottleStop FIVR Guide
The FIVR window contains voltage-related controls available on supported Intel platforms. Treat it as an advanced diagnostic and tuning panel, not a collection of universal recommended values.
Voltage Domains
CPU Core, CPU Cache and Intel GPU are separate domains on supported hardware. A value accepted by one domain does not prove that another can use the same offset.
Offset Voltage
An offset modifies the voltage request relative to the stock curve. Negative offsets are commonly used for undervolting. Large changes increase the chance of calculation errors, freezes and startup problems.
Apply and Save Options
Apply a temporary setting first and verify stability before saving it for future sessions. Avoid automatic startup until the profile has survived normal use, sleep and resume and controlled testing.
Locked FIVR
If controls are greyed out, the limitation may come from BIOS, microcode or the manufacturer. Reinstalling ThrottleStop usually does not remove a firmware restriction.

Should Core and Cache use the same offset?
Not necessarily. Stability limits can differ by processor and platform.
Does a lower voltage always improve performance?
No. It may reduce heat, but instability or other power limits can reduce performance.
